Heaven on Earth: Part II

So, we woke up to the sounds of hawkers selling all sorts of things. My brother started nagging my father to buy him bread pakoras. I could not resist my temptation from looking at those good-looking bread-pakoras and started nagging my bro for a bite😋😋.

Then, we had our breakfast which was accompanied by the scenic beauty from the train's windows. We observed small hills, villages that we never thought existed.

We spotted many beautiful peacocks openly roaming in their habitat. We ate weird-looking cucumbers which were so large to finish. We enjoyed the train's pantry food a lot.

After some time, we witnessed that massive view which we were wishing from the very moment my father got those tickets i.e., the view of the mountain range with a little bit of snow over it which was enhancing its beauty. I haven't visited any hill station before and can't explain my excitation at that point.

So, we finally reached Jammu Tawi at around 5 pm. I was expecting a bit of cold in the station but we were welcomed by scorching heat

Rays of sunlight were diminishing every ounce of energy from our body. With our left over energy, we pulled our luggage through the station stairs and reached the taxi stand. Then, we took a bus towards Katra. The bus started moving upwards and the temperature started going downwards. I was observing the livelihood of Jammu people and also the uneven mountain paths through which our bus was zooming past.

We got off from the bus when our hotel appeared. My mother, father and brother took one room, and me, nani(mother's mother) and thamma(grandmother) took another room. I could see the huge mountain ranges having a lighted pathway, which basically is the route of the Vaishnadevi yatra, from my room's balcony and the cool breeze that are blowing at that moment are adding to my joy of the evening. After having a heavy dinner of Paneer masala and rice, I dozed off to a long, restful sleep😴😴.
