My 22nd Lockdown birthday

So, here I am. Just turned 22. Wow. I must be feeling like an adult ready to take on the whole world. But, trust me, right now, what I really wanna do is watch family man with maa ke hath ka khana and finish the last book of the Clifton chronicles. Honestly speaking, I got a bit stressed on the day before my bday whose reasons are quite unknown to me. So, this year is no different from the other years. I was taking a lot of stress before my birthday. Also, I knew my cousin was gonna give something special to me. What she is gonna give I don't know. To add to those ongoing stresses, our final exam was gonna happen the day after my birthday. So, I was also worried about that too. Now, lets jump straight to the D-day. My cousin has sent me a parcel earlier which she strictly told me not to open before 12 am. So, I was supposed to video call her at exact 12 am. As instructed I video called her at 12 am and to my surprise, my nani (maternal grandmother) was also there waiting for her turn to wish me. First thing what they do is wished me. Meanwhile, my father and mother started peeking from the door of my room and wished me happy birthday in some weird sign language as they wanted to wish me first. So, after the video call I was preparing to go to bed when my phone rang which took me by surprise as people don't really call me at that late at night. So, it was one of my good friends in college who was calling to wish me which made me so happy. So, after chatting to her for some time, I dozed off to sleep. While on bed, my brother wished me also. Oh! I forgot to tell you what was in that parcel. So, my cousin has custom-made a harry-potter themed parcel for me which made me so happy and excited. The parcel contained a hand-woven Gryffindor scarf, a personalized card and a ring shaped in the form of Golden Snitch. A true harry-potter fan will understand what these things mean to me.

I woke up with the smell of freshly fried puris coming straight from the Kitchen. So, I hurriedly freshen up and gorged on some amazing breakfast. Then, I switched on the net and checked on some of my messages. A lot of my friends have wished me virtually through status or messages in social media which made me so grateful. Also, some of my college friends had made me a virtual greetings card which is so funny yet heartwarming that it made my day. I have also ordered a personalized chocolate cake which arrived in the morning. One view of the cake was enough to make me drool and I don't know how I controlled myself from touching the cake till the cake-cutting ceremony in the evening. Since, I have exams the next day, I was revising the topics. After some time, some amazon deliveries came and I revealed two books from the packets. The first one is a gift from my parents and it's the last book of the Clifton Chronicles which I wanted to read. And, the second gift is a book from my college friends which I was one step away from ordering in Amazon. It was in my cart for some time and I wanted to order it soon. Somehow, they read my mind.

Then, I went to a bath. After the refreshing bath, I went to have lunch. That day, maa served my lunch on the fancy plates which she probably saved for SRK or someone famous😜. I was really enjoying the special treatment for that day.
On the afternoon, I practiced some numerical for the test. In the evening, I changed into a pink t-shirt and long skirt which my mother has bought for me. With the help of my father, I took some good photos. Then, we cut the chocolate cake which I was waiting for a long time. The cake was as tasty as I've imagined and we all enjoyed eating it. Then, my friends video called me where we chatted for a while. I corresponded and talked with everyone who mattered to me. It was such a wholesome day. At night, we gorged on some fried rice and dum aloo(potato curry) and then I dozed off to a good night's sleep.
So, everyone who have been part of my life, there's a small appreciation post for you all.

To all the lovely people of my life,

I couldn't thank you people enough for all those lovey-dovey wishes. Thank you for making me feel godogodo with the lovely wishes. It’s been a roller coaster ride to grow up with you all. You help me understand life a bit better each and every passing day. You people make me laugh and help me pass some of the boring or sometimes horrendous days with ease. I am really grateful to all of you for your mere presence, for making each and every day interesting and filled with fun and laughter, for helping me grow and giving me reasons for having this life.

-A huge thank you from this just turned 22-years old

PS: I also received a parcel two days later which my friends have sent and it got delayed due to some unknown reasons and the gift is so beautiful I can't even describe. I'm pasting a picture of that gift. It's a scented candle.
